The Terms and Conditions of sale detailed below only govern the contractual relationship between the user of this website and Spanish Minerals. Both parties accept these conditions unreservedly. These Terms and Conditions of sale are the only conditions that apply and replace all other conditions, except in the case of e-written exemption.
We reserve the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time and any such changes will take effect when posted on the website.
The prices indicated on this website are in US dollars and do not include delivery fees. Applicable delivery costs are indicated during the product selection process and are added to the price of the products at the end of the order process.
Prices are subject to change at any time, but any such modification will have no impact on finalized orders; the prices indicated on the site are applied when you place an order.
If an obviously incorrect price appears on our website (a price that is clearly too low, for example), and for whatever reason (IT bug, human error, technical errorm etc.), your order will be cancelled, even if it has been initially accepted.
All mineral specimens are sold on a first come – first served basis, if two customers try to order the same specimen, the person from whom we first received the order, will receive the specimen.
If you missed out on a mineral specimen, or you like one that is already sold or reserved, please email us and let us know. We carry a large stock of mineral specimens which change regularly, and maybe we have a similar item that we could offer you.
Please note that minerals may be returned to sale (for instance if an order was cancelled) so if a mineral you like is currently reserved, please look again in an hour, it may be available!
In order to get our best deals we encourage customers to join our mailing list. If you are fast enough, you will see every mineral of each update.
4. Secure payment options
Spanish Minerals has chosen to guarantee payment security with COMODO (A leading internet security provider. http://www.comodo.com/) by encrypting the connection when transmitting information on the network. We use Stripe (https://stripe.com/au), as our payment gateway supplier.
Payments for orders made through the website are by credit card, through our secure payment system. We accept major international debit or credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard and American Express, right out of the box. We can also accept payment by bank transfer and PayPal in several different currencies. These can be handled on an individual basis at the time of purchasing.
When you pay by credit card, your account will be debited a few days after the day of your order, on the condition that we have received pre-authorisation for your payment. If sufficient funds are not available, your order will not be taken into account. For payments made on-line by credit card, the “Secure Socket Layer” (SSL) is used, which allows your banking information to be encrypted when on the network.
5. Shipping and Delivery
All specimens must be paid in full before they will be posted.
Spanish Minerals aim to post all mineral specimens within two business days of receiving payment. If we are out of the office for several days, for example during buying trips or mineral shows, of course, we will let you know.
International postage costs are:
1- For one mineral specimen – USD $18 flat fee to any country. No tracking number provided.
2- For two or more specimens – FREE POSTAGE. No tracking number provided.
Note that although the above fees will almost always be adequate, we may contact you to request extra postage in the case of a very heavy mineral specimen.
For orders over USD 500 we recommend the use of a courier like FedEx, UPS or DHL. We assume responsibility for loss or damage on route for couriered, tracked shipments only, but not for the basic shipping option. If concerned about tracking and safety, we encourage you to pay the extra cost of courier shipping.
If you do not receive your package within the indicated time frame, an enquiry will be carried out with the carrier and may take several days upon receipt of your claim.
Upon receipt of your order, we recommend that you check the parcel contents before accepting delivery and if necessary, write any irregularities on the delivery voucher.
6. Right of Return your mineral specimen
The Right of Return your mineral specimen entitles you to 10 calendar days to return your specimen. This period begins from the delivery of your order. Return costs are at your expense, and the specimens must arrive back in the same condition in which you received them.
Please print on the customs declaration form that you are returning the specimen to its original owner, in order for us to avoid unnecessary delays in receiving the return specimen, and customs fees.
Please insure the package for the full value of the specimen being returned; as you are responsible for the full value of the mineral specimen/s.
